Spring Break

We had a wonderful spring break! To start off the fun week we went to a fun kid place called Makuto's Island with the Brown family. Tristan compared this place to Disneyland so it's high up on his list now for sure! The slides were really high, steep, and some of them dark. The kids had a blast but I had to face some of my biggest fears...like crawling through a tiny clear tunnel that's 30 feet above the ground. Gavin is our little climber and I had to follow him everywhere, praying that they kept adults in mind while building these structures. :) All in all, we loved it and will definitely be going back!

I think the big aquarium was Gavin's favorite.

On Friday afternoon we decided to go to the Pump It Up open gym. I had been talking about it with the boys all morning and they were so excited to go. We get there and find out that there's no open gym. Dang it. How do you explain to a 5 year old and 2 year old that mommy messed up and read the wrong dates on the email? Quint came to the rescue with a genius idea to go to Funtasticks instead and let Tristan ride the go-karts! It was hilarious watching our little Lightning McQueen try and figure out the car. It took a few laps but he got it down and loved it. I think Gavin had just as much fun watching Tristan and cheering him on!

Our friends Jared and Cortnie invited us to go with them and the Esplin family to the drag races! It was crazy! We watched cars only 20 feet away zoom past us going 250 mph, racing down a small strip of road. It was awesome! Tristan's favorite was a semi truck called Shock Wave that went 300 mph right in front of us. I really thought it would scare him but he said it was "so cool"! Unfortunately I forgot my camera in the car so I didn't get any pictures of the fun night. But here is Tristan on the way home holding up a poster of Shock Wave signed by the driver.

To end this fun week we went to Josh and Elaine's house on Sunday night. The kids had fun playing together and Elaine made us Green Chile! Oh my it was yummy!! I've been thinking about that meal ever since. :)
It was a great Spring Break!

Boys Day Out

I wasn't feeling good a couple of weeks ago so Quint decided do have a day with his boys so that I could rest (what a sweet husband!). He took the boys to see Rango and Gavin sat through all of it which was surprising and awesome for Quint! Tristan said that he really loved it but there was a scary rattlesnake he didn't like! After the movie they went to In-N-Out for dinner. Daddy splurged and let them each have their own chocolate shake. What a fun day!

WICKED

My good friend Lindsay and I went to see Wicked a week ago and we were blown away! I've been hearing about this musical for a long time from friends and family who have gone to see it and a little part of me was worried that it wouldn't meet up to all the hype... but to my surprise it soared even higher than all the hype! Lindsay and I were speechless for about a minute after the first act. The music, the lights, the costumes, the moral of the story...simply amazing.

These are the special times

Our family had such a wonderful Christmas this past year. My boys are at an age now where they understand that Christmas is such a magical time! This was probably my favorite Christmas so far only because I could see how much fun my boys were having. Tristan will be turning 5 soon so we really focused on teaching him about the true meaning of Christmas this year. It's hard for a little one to understand that it's not all about receiving, but giving. He sure tried hard to wrap his head around this concept and I think his fresh testimony grew as he was thinking of ways to serve others. He loved listening to the Nativity story and asked so many questions about our Savior's birth and would explain to me what it meant to him. I'm so thankful for the Christmas season and the chance that we have to reflect upon our Savior's birth and to think of others and serve as Christ would. It's our favorite time of year!

All the Lamoreaux cousins! They were tuckered out at this Christmas party after watching all the adults rock Just Dance 2. ;) Thanks for the awesome party Josh and Elaine!

It's a tradition in our home to open Christmas jammies and slippers on Christmas Eve. They always LOVE getting new jammies so it makes it even more fun!

Santa found Gavin!

The only mess that I totally love...

My sweet baby boy is growing way too fast.

My handsome little man.

Merry Christmas!

I Heart NY

I went a little bit crazy with the pictures here but we had such a fun trip to New York City for Thanksgiving so I just had to share! It took a full day of traveling in the air with our two boys to get there, and it was not easy, but so worth it. Tristan has been asking to visit grandma and grandpa in NY for so long so we finally decided to go for an entire week and we had a lot of fun. We got to see New York City from a local's view and it was surprisingly relaxing. It was a great vacation/trip to grandma and grandpa's that we all loved!

Taking a walk by their home near the Hudson River

The biggest pizza slice we've ever seen! Seriously...it was huge.

Museum of Natural History

Taking a walk through Central Park!

Our first time back to NYC since our honeymoon. I will always think this is the most romantic city!

Bundled up for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Tristan will never be satisfied by any other parade again.

Super Size me please!
