The Gavinator turns 3!

It's hard to believe that our little Gavin is 3 years old now! He requested a Mickey Mouse birthday so that is exactly what he got. He had Mickey Mouse pancakes with eggs in the morning and then he helped me bake his cake. Daddy came home at lunch time since it was a Friday and brought pizza. We ate and then he opened presents. I think his favorite gift was his new bike! We went to the park for a couple of hours so he could try it out and he loved it. He is still learning how to peddle but gets better every day.
Gavin is still our sweet cuddle bug who always has a strong opinion. Gavin's favorites at age 3: He loves being outdoors, reading books, singing "wiggle" songs, playing catch with daddy, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and most of all playing with his big brother.
We love you sweet Gavin! Happy 3rd Birthday!

He wanted a red and yellow Mickey Mouse cake...kinda turned out pink and yellow! He still loved it! :)

Tristan turns 6!

Happy Birthday to our awesome 6 year old! Tristan had a really fun birthday. It was more low key but he loved it. He had a yummy pancake breakfast and took cupcakes to school to share with everyone. After school he opened all his presents and played at home for a while. We met up with the Lamoreaux's and a couple of Tristan's friends at Monkey Business that night for dinner. It was a great day!

Poor Baby Tens

Poor Tenley got really sick when she was 2 months old. She had a yucky deep cough for about 4 days and a low fever. Her cough kept getting worse and we noticed that she was struggling to catch her breath in-between coughing so we decided she needed to see a doc. It happened to be a weekend so we took her to the emergency room. She tested positive for RSV and they admitted her. Luckily, we only had to stay one night because she responded to the treatments so quickly! She was a brave little girl. It's always sad to see your little ones so sick.

She was so out of it. :(

She slept most of the time in our arms.

Christmas 2011

Christmas was pretty crazy this year! All through December Tenley was still waking up 5-6 times a night, we put our house on the market, and everyone in our family kept getting sick. It's all a bit of a blur to me so I'm glad I took a lot of pictures! With everything that was going on we still managed to slow down a bit and have a pretty amazing Christmas!

Enchanted Snow Fall at La Encantada. We first went to this about 3 years ago and it's been a tradition for us ever since!

We went to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa and then went to the courtyard and anxiously waited for the snow to fall.

Our itty bitty Tenley was only 6 weeks old and LOVED to be snuggled in the baby bjorn everywhere we went.

We had fun at this cutie girl's birthday party at Peter Piper Pizza! Cousin Maya turned 5!

Christmas lights at the Mesa Temple. It was freezing that night which made the trip feel so much more Christmasy! We all felt like we needed beanies, gloves, and scarves. I know...we are wimps! You would never guess that we spent 4 winters in Utah and Quint spent 2 winters in Siberia! :) Anyway, we didn't come thinking it would be that cold in Mesa so we stopped and got some hot chocolate on the way to keep us warm while we walked the grounds. It was a beautiful, peaceful evening.

Tristan's winter concert at school. The songs were so cute and original. Tristan practiced hard to memorize them and it was a lot of fun watching him sing that night.

Ward Christmas party! Tristan got to dress up as a shepherd while the primary children sang Christmas songs for everyone.
Tenley met Santa at the party! (My Dad) :)

Melissa and Kelly came over excited to meet Tenley.
Lamoreaux Christmas Party!

Papa Dave meets Tenley.

Aunt Emma meets Tenley.

McCook Christmas Party!
Reading the nativity

Christmas morning

And to top off the wonderful season, Tenley was blessed on New Year's Day by her daddy. It was a special, perfect day. :)

Baby Tenley

Our sweet baby girl is here! It's long overdue for me to write down details about the birth of Tenley.
My pregnancy was going really smooth when all of a sudden in the last trimester I became very uncomfortable and anxious. I was feeling like she was going to come any day even though I still had a few weeks left. Both Tristan and Gavin came 3 days after my due date so I was expecting the same for Tenley. 3 weeks before my due date the boys and I met Quint for lunch at In n Out. I kept telling him while we were eating that I felt like she was going to come really soon. I remember saying, "I can't believe I have 3 weeks left! I don't think I can make it that long!". Well, after lunch Quint left to go back to work and I took the boys to the park. Right when we got to the park I got out of the car and my water broke! There was no doubt about it! Tristan and I were standing there and I looked at him and said, "Tristan! My water just broke!". Not sure why I told my 5 year old this...I was just really shocked. Tristan looked at me and said, "Mom, does that mean Tenley peed in your belly?" :) I dropped the boys off with my sister and headed for the hospital. Quint met me there and I was hooked up to pitocin right away. My mom, Shari, and Lexi came and helped Quint coach me through my labor and delivery which was pretty darn easy...my easiest one yet! After 9 hours of labor Tenley was born at 11:01 at night, weighing 6 lbs 7 oz, and 19 inches long. She is our angel baby and we love her so much! The boys are SO sweet with her and are a big help to me. It's a busy life with three children but we've all adjusted very well and we absolutely love that Tenley is a part of our family.

These pictures were taken by Amanda Summerhays when Tenley was 8 days old.

My friend Ann took this picture when Tenley was 3 days old.

Waiting for contractions to start! I was actually very nervous. I remember thinking, "I hope this doesn't hurt too bad." :) I'm funny.

My lovely cheering section. It was very special to have them there.
