Baby Tenley

Our sweet baby girl is here! It's long overdue for me to write down details about the birth of Tenley.
My pregnancy was going really smooth when all of a sudden in the last trimester I became very uncomfortable and anxious. I was feeling like she was going to come any day even though I still had a few weeks left. Both Tristan and Gavin came 3 days after my due date so I was expecting the same for Tenley. 3 weeks before my due date the boys and I met Quint for lunch at In n Out. I kept telling him while we were eating that I felt like she was going to come really soon. I remember saying, "I can't believe I have 3 weeks left! I don't think I can make it that long!". Well, after lunch Quint left to go back to work and I took the boys to the park. Right when we got to the park I got out of the car and my water broke! There was no doubt about it! Tristan and I were standing there and I looked at him and said, "Tristan! My water just broke!". Not sure why I told my 5 year old this...I was just really shocked. Tristan looked at me and said, "Mom, does that mean Tenley peed in your belly?" :) I dropped the boys off with my sister and headed for the hospital. Quint met me there and I was hooked up to pitocin right away. My mom, Shari, and Lexi came and helped Quint coach me through my labor and delivery which was pretty darn easy...my easiest one yet! After 9 hours of labor Tenley was born at 11:01 at night, weighing 6 lbs 7 oz, and 19 inches long. She is our angel baby and we love her so much! The boys are SO sweet with her and are a big help to me. It's a busy life with three children but we've all adjusted very well and we absolutely love that Tenley is a part of our family.

These pictures were taken by Amanda Summerhays when Tenley was 8 days old.

My friend Ann took this picture when Tenley was 3 days old.

Waiting for contractions to start! I was actually very nervous. I remember thinking, "I hope this doesn't hurt too bad." :) I'm funny.

My lovely cheering section. It was very special to have them there.
