Gavin's Day!!

Is it possible that this day is really here?! Is Gavin really old enough to be in preschool?! As I was helping him get ready that morning and explaining to him how the day was going to be I couldn't help but think about Tristan's first day of preschool and how it doesn't seem like that long ago! Where is time going??
Anyway, our little Gav man was so happy that this day was finally here! He walked around all morning with his backpack on, asking over and over if it was time to go yet. When we got there he walked right in and forgot to even say goodbye to me! He was in the zone. :) He said that he had a really fun day. They did show and tell (he showed off his CARS backpack), they made play dough and then he made a "G" with the dough and got to bring it home, and then they played some name games to get to know everyone. I'm so proud of my Gavin! I missed him while he was gone but I'm so excited for him and this fun year of learning at school that he's going to have!

Gavin is going to the same preschool that Tristan went to. We just love his teacher, Mrs. Jackson!

PA!!

A few weeks ago Quint had to fly to Pennsylvania to attend a workshop for a company that McCook Boiler represents. Randy went too and they did some exploring in Philadelphia. Poor Quint got really sick toward the end of their trip but still enjoyed all the sight seeing.

Room where the Declaration of Independence was signed

While Quint was on this trip my Mom and I went to St. John's to visit my Grandma for a few days. It was so good to have a lot of one on one time with my grandma and mom. We ate a lot of yummy food, played cards, watched the Olympics, and visited my Grandpa. The weather was really beautiful and the boys had so much fun playing outside and getting dirty.
My grandma and I had a funny conversation about taking pictures. She was telling me about all these trips she has been on but never took a lot of pictures. She said that sometimes she is enjoying the moment so much that she forgets to pick up a camera. I told her I can totally relate, and of course on this trip I forgot to take even one picture. Darn!! I guess that means I was just really enjoying a lot of good moments. :)

Visiting an Old Friend

A couple of weeks ago I was able to go up to Utah and spend three days with my oldest friend Melissa. Our friendship has always been so easy, probably because we're a lot alike! We've always been able to just sit down together and talk about anything for hours. We did a lot of that on my visit. :) We also did a lot of fun shopping! Utah has all the best home stores and Melissa lives right next to them all! We had so much fun. Thanks Melissa for a fun weekend!

I read the book Dressing Your Truth by Carol Tuttle several months ago and purchased the course and have been dressing my truth for about a month now. I love it! And wouldn't ya know, the retail store was super close to the airport! :)

The first day I got there we ate lunch and walked around temple square. Quint and I lived in Utah for 4 years and never once did we take a tour of Brigham Young's home right there by the temple. When we were walking by it and I told Melissa I had never been she was like, "Huh?!!"....so we went and took the tour. :) It was really neat!

The home was HUGE, I took some pics of my favorite rooms.
This is the music room

The school room

This room was my favorite! It's the playroom and everything is original. Pretty amazing!

I couldn't get over the little play kitchen set! Can you see it on the floor there with the little pots and pans? So adorable!

Melissa's husband Kelly is Mr. Handyman. He can pretty much build a house from scratch with his own two hands. He did the crown molding in their home and I was so impressed especially because they have vaulted ceilings. He said it wasn't easy, but it's really beautiful!

Their cutie boy Jacob!

It was a lot harder to be away from Tenley than I thought it would be! I sorta panicked the night before I left and decided last minute to take her with me and started packing all her things. When Quint got home from mutual and saw what I was doing he said that he had been looking forward to some bonding time with Tenley, so of course I let her stay. Quint sent me pics of her everyday after he got her dressed. Such a sweet Daddy to his baby girl!

Quint was so sweet to let me go on this trip! He wasn't nervous at all to take all three kids for a few days. They had a lot of fun and sent me pics.
On Saturday they went to the zoo with the rest of the Lamoreauxs.
