WICKED

My good friend Lindsay and I went to see Wicked a week ago and we were blown away! I've been hearing about this musical for a long time from friends and family who have gone to see it and a little part of me was worried that it wouldn't meet up to all the hype... but to my surprise it soared even higher than all the hype! Lindsay and I were speechless for about a minute after the first act. The music, the lights, the costumes, the moral of the story...simply amazing.

These are the special times

Our family had such a wonderful Christmas this past year. My boys are at an age now where they understand that Christmas is such a magical time! This was probably my favorite Christmas so far only because I could see how much fun my boys were having. Tristan will be turning 5 soon so we really focused on teaching him about the true meaning of Christmas this year. It's hard for a little one to understand that it's not all about receiving, but giving. He sure tried hard to wrap his head around this concept and I think his fresh testimony grew as he was thinking of ways to serve others. He loved listening to the Nativity story and asked so many questions about our Savior's birth and would explain to me what it meant to him. I'm so thankful for the Christmas season and the chance that we have to reflect upon our Savior's birth and to think of others and serve as Christ would. It's our favorite time of year!

All the Lamoreaux cousins! They were tuckered out at this Christmas party after watching all the adults rock Just Dance 2. ;) Thanks for the awesome party Josh and Elaine!

It's a tradition in our home to open Christmas jammies and slippers on Christmas Eve. They always LOVE getting new jammies so it makes it even more fun!

The only mess that I totally love...

My sweet baby boy is growing way too fast.

I Heart NY

I went a little bit crazy with the pictures here but we had such a fun trip to New York City for Thanksgiving so I just had to share! It took a full day of traveling in the air with our two boys to get there, and it was not easy, but so worth it. Tristan has been asking to visit grandma and grandpa in NY for so long so we finally decided to go for an entire week and we had a lot of fun. We got to see New York City from a local's view and it was surprisingly relaxing. It was a great vacation/trip to grandma and grandpa's that we all loved!

Taking a walk by their home near the Hudson River

The biggest pizza slice we've ever seen! Seriously...it was huge.

Museum of Natural History

Taking a walk through Central Park!

Our first time back to NYC since our honeymoon. I will always think this is the most romantic city!

Bundled up for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!

Tristan will never be satisfied by any other parade again.

Super Size me please!

Team Maya Beaties!

At the beginning of November we had the wonderful opportunity to walk with our niece Maya in the JDRF walk to cure diabetes. Maya is 4 years old and was diagnosed at 2 1/2 with Type 1 diabetes. She is such a strong girl! We love her and were so excited to walk with her. Josh and Elaine had so many great friends who came out and supported them too. It was a great day and you could see on Maya's face that she felt so loved. If you would like to find out more about this great cause or donate check out www.jdrf.org.

The Singley Family came to support too!
